MEMBERSHIP
We welcome all individuals who share our passion for gardening, community engagement, and sustainability to become members of our community garden. Each year, we open our doors to new members and invite them to join us in cultivating a thriving and vibrant garden in the heart of our community.
To become a member, we require that each individual fills out a membership application and the garden bylaws form, which outlines our policies and procedures for maintaining a safe and sustainable garden environment. Additionally, each member is required to select a consistent one-hour slot every week to keep the garden open to the community; this open hour must be the same day and time each week. We also ask for a membership fee of $35 per season to help cover the costs of maintaining the garden and providing resources for our members.
As a member of our community garden, you will have access to a wide range of benefits, including the opportunity to grow your own produce, attend educational workshops and events, and connect with like-minded individuals who share your interests and values. We believe that gardening is not only a fulfilling and rewarding activity but also a powerful tool for building strong and resilient communities.
Please note that our garden plots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. While we strive to accommodate as many members as possible, we cannot guarantee that all new members will receive a plot. We encourage early application to improve your chances of obtaining a plot for the gardening season.
We invite you to become a member of our community garden and join us in creating a beautiful and sustainable space that brings joy and inspiration to all who visit.
